What to use for grip glue?
#1
Hey Guys
Im going to replace my bent handelbars tomorrow and need a little advice on what to use to hold my new grips on. When i bought the grips, the dealer didnt have any real grip glue but he said i could just spray the inside of the grips with spray paint before i put them on.
Anybody ever try that?
I would just use silicon RTV but I hope to get a little ridding in tomorrow so I would like something that drys fast.
Any suggestion?
Thanks
Andy

It won't help you this morning, but i just learned this trick. wrap the bar end 2-3 times in regular masking tape, fill the grip with gas for 60 seconds or so, pour out gas and install grip. Takes a couple hours to set, but hasn't slipped yet. We'll see howthis works when it's wet out.

If you are putting on non heated grips I use 5min. epoxy and if you have heated grips you have to use the slow set epoxy or when the grips get hot the glue will not hold. I found the slow set at Ace hardware.
