Jetting for KFX 700 with Dual Exhaust
#12
Ran me about 650 from Rocky Mountain and another 80 to get the stainless header pipes coated at Jet Hot coating. Lead time on the coating is about five days, mean's I won't be pulling this new quad from the lift for about another three weeks. I'll diffenitly post pix's when it's done. I ordered the ITP Baja wheels and Works shocks today for it too. With all the Pro armor nerfs, gaurds, pegs and frame armor thats on it's way, it should turn out pretty sweet. Stay tuned, thx, Putt

Where did you order ProArmor nerfs from. I have been told that they will not be ready till the end of the month (June). Only Greenteam got a few sets to try out. Please let me know!!

Hey Putt, that is correct stock is 140main rear 135 front. I jettied 140rear 138 front with NO air box mods. I ran mine up at Gorman 3000-4500 ft with no problems. If you do any air box mods ( opening it up ) you will lose a lot of bottom end power. I know some guys are willing to have all top end. It is up to you.

Thx Chris,
I'll install a 38 in the front and leave the stock 140 in the rear. Headpipes are at Jet Hot so the system won't go on for another couple weeks. No way will I give up anything on the bottom for a little more on top, I'm no racer and I'd rather keep it as strong as possible on the bottom end. I do wish K&N would get on the ball though and get us a filter, other then that, I'll leave the air box alone. I did talk to Dynojet however and their jet kit should be out very soon, I've always had real good luck with their kits in just about everything I've built. Thx for your input my friend, Putt

I guess that could be. But with the minimal airbox mods and the jet sizes I am using without being rich, that sucker must be moving some air through it!
