Default DRIVEN SPRING QUESTION

The black spring keeps the rpm's up longer before the shives move to increase speed. Making the 650 move responsive, with less slippage on belt to help increase life.

But you might loose some top end speed!

Tighten the belt up to the tight side of spec. for longer service. A slight squeel in gear at idle is perfect.

Default DRIVEN SPRING QUESTION

The red secondary applies roughly double the spring tension than the black secondary. Check out EPI's site for more info on both the secondary and primary springs. EPI
