best mod for the buck on v-force

Chris, you can buy primary springs from any company that sells Polaris springs or you can buy them from EPI. A stiffer primary will allow the motor to pull more RPM's all through the power band. The univents are 1" plastic vents that you can install into your airbox to get more air. Rocky Mt. sells them.
NYVforce, did you buy the brown spring made by Polaris? If you buy a brown spring made by a different company for a Polaris you are not getting the spring I'm talking about. EPI's brown spring for Polaris' has engagement way too high to use on the Kawi. Mine engages only about 500 RPM's above stock.

Chris- congrats on your new V. What dealer and how much? Sorry I couldn't save you a few bills. You really need to go to Mena and ride the Wolf Pen Gap trails. The V really is awesome on those trails. Let me know where you ride, and I'll meet you sometime. By the way, green is faster!

The HPD brown is rated at 85/209, while the Polaris brown is rated at 50/180. The stock spring is only approx. 20/110, maybe a little higher with the shim in. Any spring with engagement higher than 50-60 is probably not going to be rideable on the trails.

Kevin the spring you are using is the Polaris brown, when you told me to buy the brown spring I thought it was the HPD spring I've been way off then. What is the EPI red spring rated at thats what I have now. The second number is the shift out what does that do and what if its to high. Thanx

The EPI is 60/140 which might work OK with the stock weights. The second number determines how high your max RPM's and shiftout will be. If its too high, you may hit the rev limiter. 55/216 should work well since you have the duals unless it lets it rev too high. 66/176 may be good also, but it might give you more stall than you like. Unfortunately its trial and error, I have a box full of springs, weights and helixes that I went through before I got my Scrambler where I wanted it.

Pairof98s-
Thanks for the message and it's nice to hear from you again. I would love to try to the Wolf Pen Gap. Next time you go give me a call @ 405.740.0907 and we'll meet you there. I ordered the V out of Pennsylvania for $5,600 plus $350 shipping, $5,950 total. Does the performance increase as the motor breaks in?
