Default WaterWetter for my P650

Hey guys,

A few people on the forum have talked about adding WaterWetter to the cooling system of our P650 to help the bike run a bit cooler. Just wondering if anyone in Canada has purchased this product? I've looked around, but haven't been able to find any dealers that sell this around here. Can anyone recommend a place in Canada to buy this product?

Wetter Wet is considered a controlled substance. I could not get any as well. However I found some Purple Ice, by Royal Purple at a local shop. (Very similar product)
Look up industrial distributors of Royal Purple oils and product. If you are lucky they will order you a bottle at their next shipment.

That would explain why I haven't seen this product anywhere in Canada.

Don't get me wrong, you still can get some, but it is a real pain in the neck to get it over the border. My local Auto parts dealer told me he has to get a permit, and pay extra brokerage fees.
You might be able to get someone to bring it in, but at what price?
Or you might luck out and get some old stock prior to Sept 11.

I paid $20 cdn taxes in for 16oz of Purple Ice. Only need 2.5 oz in Prairie 650

It really dont have to be WaterWetter that is just a popular brand. Most of them are probably the same thing just different name. Probably your local auto parts store would have something like it. Ive heard of a few, WaterWetter, Purple ice, 40 below, DEI radiator relief, and a few others I cant think of right off hand.

I was able to get the coolant additive from the Highlifter heat fighter kit. It is a controlled substance but they will just charge extra for shipping it ( I think about 20$ extra). Havent tried it yet but have heard many positive things about it. Comes in 30 oz. container and should last many years, even with 2 650's to service.

I know you can get DEI radiator relief from Summit, it claims to reduce temp by 30 degrees, its non toxic, non corrosive and biodegradable its $22 for a 32 oz bottle. www.SummitRacing.com Does'nt say anything about being controlled or a surcharge on shipping.

No, but my fan runs about a quarter of the time it used to, especially in slow mud runs.
