Default V force shoot out:(

Who cares what the Mag say the V-Force is doing it's talking on the race track. It is winning in GNCC racing, WORCS racing, won the FUD 24 HR endurance race and the Baja 500. It sounds like a winner to me. If I was buying a new quad now I would have one tough decision to make.

CAM650 the competitors in the stupid shootout were the Predator, Raptor, DS, and the still mightest in my mind VForce. I love my V and think in the near future by end of the summer mods will be out to make this incredible machine so darn fast and with aftermarket suspension like elkas, I believe this quad will be the best. Only my opinion but everyone else has a right to there's.

Hey Kawasaki owners,

Now you know what it feels like to be a Polaris owner!

Seriously though, this is EXACTLY the kind of treament that Polaris receives in just about every test or shoot out in both of the Hi-Torque rags. I've never believed them then, and sure as heck don't believe them now. The V force is a much better machine than they gave it credit for.

Another thing, perhaps when they first reviewed the V-Force they might have been riding factory prepared ringers, and in this shoot out they might have received a prduction model or a reject. Just something to think about.

Reject or not, I ride it because I liked it and ended up loving it instead. The only thing i have come across that I do not like is the fact that i have to be careful on trails cut for other atvs cause they end up being to narrow, but hey why else did they let me have a skid plate for but to go around the the tree(for those "tree loving people" it is only when i have to)
As to the shoot out,you just have to read this forum to get the real answers. we know where the weaknesses are in our machines, but we also know the strengths and potential too.Let someone get a CDI that doesn't put a rev limiter on us and then you won't have to worry about staying out of the way, you just have to worry abouthow to get the dust and mud out of your clothes, but hey that is what they make a washing machine for, right?
Seriously though everyone has a reason they bought thier atv for and i believe most of us bought ours to ride,so enjoy what you have and ride for the fun because if you are not enjoying yourself then why are you here.

cam650 it was the V Force, DS 650, Raptor 660 and the Predator 500. The DS650 was the fastest then the Raptor,Predator and then the V Force. I'm like everybody else here and think that the shoot out was influenced by politics.

I'm not talking the whole article here, but you don't think there is anyway they could come out in that order in a race? DS, Rap,Pred, Vforce Without reading the article that would be the order I would put them in speed wise, I'll bet they were all pretty close too. We all buy quads for many reasons, we all want to hear we bought the greatest quad going to re-enforce that we were not wasting are hard earned money! But for me the Sh|t eating grin I have on after every ride is re-enforcement enough!

They said the DS650 beat the Predator and Raptor by 5 quad lengths. Was this a 1 mile drag race. I have always been told that the DS650 and Raptor were very close in a drag race but now the DS is 5 quad lengths ahead?

I rode the V-force yesterday and had mixed feelings compared to my Z. I think my Z is quicker right now but may be different story once the V-force is broken in. Z also feels more nimble and V-forces front end is a lot lighter. But that has to do with the instant hookup and torque of the 700.

Things I do like about the V-force auto (for when I ride with the wife), Parking brake that works, Shaft drive (no chain to clean or keep lubed). I felt really comfortable on the V. I am a bigger guy at 6'0, 260#.
I like the tires on V also. The only thing I will need for the V will be handguards, skids, and maybe a 6 pack rack to carry extra gas.

I just wish it came in yellow so I could match my wifes Vinson.

Does the V have a fuel petcock? I was able to find it on the right side of the praire 650 but could not find it on the V.
