That sounds like a good possibility, will replace the bearing and hope for the ssame results........it only started after installing the black spring, so maybe the stock bearing needs an upgrade!!

The bearing I used was a SKF 61907-2RZ. The Kawi part #14041-1161 is the complete cover #. This is the standard cover. There are blue and red covers available depending on the distance from the actuator fork to the bearing distance. I chose to do the bearing only. You will have to remove the cvt cover and then the take off the drive pulley bolt with an impact wrench if you don't want to remove the recoil starter cover. This is a left hand thread bolt!!! Then remove the eight small bolts that hold on the cover and it should pull off rather easily. Did you remove the fuse to double check if this was the problem? Good luck!!

I have been reading and re reading the manual regarding the actuator lever, and it is making more sense that it is this, I may have been disturbed during putting everything back together..... I am confused on the green blue or what color and how to measure this without this special tool....... but I am going to disconect the wire for the actuator today and see what it does.... maybe replace the cover before the bearing and see what happens also,,,, since the bearing sounds more out of my league.....

Ok,,,,,, I dis-connected the wire to the actuator just behind the rubber air intake boot that goes directly to the actuator located on the side of the pulley cover...... and NO Noise..... what do you think?

It sounds like the bearing is the problem if the noise went away when you unhooked the actuator plug. If you have the repair manual, then on page 5-15 at the bottom is a list of the three different color drive pulley covers. I would go with the same color that came stock on your bike if nothing looks worn out. When I put side pressure on the old bearing and tried to turn it with my fingers it was horrible!!! I could not believe it went bad that quickly. I think I put alot of stress on mine dragging my buddies sp700 about 4 miles out of Hatfield-McCoy last year. Even though I was in low range the whole time I never got over 5 mph while dragging that thing. ATV Pics
