04vforce, how do you like the DMC duals? Is there a big difference in power, are you running spark arrestors, or quiet cores? I think I am getting these, the HMF's or the MBRP's. I like the DMC's, but I called them yesterday and told them I need to be around 94db's to get in dunes, he said the quiet cores coming out this month take away 2-3hp off the 6.5 gain. So I am still undecided what to do, HMF says they keep 95% power with quiet cores. Thanks for your opinion.

04 V-Force, I have recently purchased a "V" and will be bringing it to San Dawg. I am currently living in Iowa. I am hearing all kinds of talk about a So. California law stating that you must be at 84 db's or below. I want to put pipes on it but have been reluctant do to the rumours. Can you answer this for me and also can you help me with some good places to ride and mods I will need to do. I have a completely stock machine right now, But want to change that. I will be there about the 2nd week in Aug.

deep diver, as far as i know they are not enforcing any noise law at gordonswell, glamis or buttercup. gordonswell is my favorite place to camp, theres nothing but soft sand, big dunes and big sand hills. its located in between yuma, arizona and el centro, california off of interstate 8. asfar as mods im having the same problem i dont think anyone is working on mods for the vforce exept for pipes and paddles and you will need paddles for the dunes. i have 20" sandskates on mine and they work great. i usually drop a tooth on the front sprocket when i run paddles in the dunes for more torque but the vforce doesnt have sprockets so what i did was buy 20" paddles instead of 22" to lower my gear ratio. what i would like to know is what primary spring to buy to make the vforce go from 0 to fast qwicker up the dunes

Thanx for the info 04vforce. I have seen some sand paddles on the internet (Gecko) are these any good? They sure are cheap compared to the adds in the magazines. As with anything else you get what you pay for. I see alot of people using sand sharks. What are your recommendations? What is/does the primary spring do for us? It also sounds like you are going to the kind of place that I am interested in. I just want to camp and ride. Will I need anything special as in permits or machine registration? And do you know if I have to have it before I can ride at any of these places? I am currently registared in Iowa and that is good for one year as with the plates on my truck.
