KevinM,

I for one would be interested in the primary spring info as well.

Better yet, why not post the entire spring replacement procedure for those of us who are too chikin to play "Tim the Tool Man" with our Vs.

I'll post the entire procedure on my website with photos if you have it.

Alltoys try this:
Call Kawi and tell them you are not impressed with the 700 and you would like them to send one to you so you can make one that is impressive!! Also I feel everything but a boeing 747 wouldn't impress you after being on your 650 LOL. On a serious side I do see exactly what you are saying. I am impressed with the 700 but the Praire is more for me. I also feel the V is in a market by it's self like the scrambler was when it was introduced. I think the 700 would be great just like the 650 would be great minus all the restrictions that Kawi put on it. The V is also the first extream sport bike that Kawi released in my point of view.

Alltoys, I dont think people are asking about the most important part of this thread so I will. NEW IGNITION.
So you know where this is leading, who, what, when, where, and how much? You holding out on us?
Did you make this yourself? If so will you be selling any? 100% liability free!!! I NEED one, its not a want item anymore, just got promoted to need.

Let's not count the v-force out yet in a drag race.

The ATPT nationals will be held on June 28 in Texas. Some of the fastest bikes on these forums will be there, (I said some, not all).

Keep a watch out for "samcoeds v-force", I have been helping him a little on clutching, I look for him to put a beat down on ALL, yes I said all, jetted and piped bikes, rappy's, ds's and preditors included and I would go so far as to say he will beat a lot of the big bore bikes in 300 ft.

Time will tell, just my opinion, but we'll see.

Rivermud,
You have insight, it doesn't matter if the quad can do 0 - 60 in 3 seconds but how it puts the power to the ground this is number 1. Clutching, Shotgun has gone as far as one can with it I have experimented with it also and tire size is an excellent point too. This motor has so much potential far greater than any other machine on the market this is why I have a 650 and the 700 is right there. I think the biggest detriment is the ignition it is so far retarded and holds back the potential of the motor. I have proven to my budds how the ignition is the major point of the machine. Is everyone so loyal you can not see past the brand.

Let me put it this way, how much would all of you pay to get 100 hp out of your machine??? Would you believe I can get 250 hp very easy out of my 650. All it takes is money. So far I have spent a grand total of $50 to get unlimited rpm with no rev limiter and this is old school technology. It is so simple I should have done this before but I thought a replaceable cdi is the way to go.......wrong Plus I am working on a fuel injection system that will easily when coupled with my ignition will put me in the 100hp range using pump gas, imagine that!!!! The technology is there just have to make it cheap enough to warrant the expense.

Rivermud,
I commend you on looking through the mist to see the objective.

Kawi650,
I like your idea about having Kawi send me a 700 to play with. I actually tried that and they must read this forum from time to time as they laughed very loud when I mentioned who I was.

How much hp does your Prarie have? How much money have you put into it? Also how much hp do you think you can get out of the V700? One more thing, how much top end did you get with your V with the new primary spring?

Sportyroxx,
Without a doubt I can get at least 125 hp from the 700 that is on pump gas any more would have to be alcohol or nitromethane induced. My old engine which is on the toy shop floor right now has given me 125hp at the crank with Super Charger and Nos. This is before I found my new ignition now I have more possibilities like EFI for instance. Plus a 600 program ignition unit that would work for any circumstance I wish. The program part is in the works right now but is very conceivable not like the cdi it is a totally independent system. The best thing is it can be used on any machine single cylinder, 2, 3, 4 cylinders just add some parts and there you go. So far on the ignition I have spent a whole $50 for spare parts that have been laying around, once I get the little nagging electronic stuff out of the way I will spill the beans. I don't want anyone telling me it doesn't work until I can work out the bugs.

For total cost of stuff I have put on my 650 would come to $3000 %90 of these things I have made or adapted from cars or other quads. I am sure I could not afford retail price for most of it. In the search for a cdi it cost me 3 igniters, there was a few words said and a lot of overtime to recoup that expense. If you read a little closer I do not have a V700 but if you are interested I would like to play with yours.

Wouldn't it be interesting if in a program a person could set the timeing so the power would be set on take off to gain the holeshot and give maximum performance after launch this is possible. Drag racers do it all the time with electronics and clutches. Just because a drag race has one purpose doesn't mean the best stuff can't be used to utilize the power band for racing on the GNCC circuit. Catch my drift. I race on ice in the winter with some woods involved, if you have never tried this you should. My 650 came in second to a team with Raptor and I thought I did great since it was my first time racing.

This is only a hobby to me if I didn't love tinkering I would drop it like a bad cold. I have had some 1/4 mile racing in the past with Harleys and have recently taken up the challenge of the sadly downtuned 650 along with the 700. So far with a basic stock 650 and updated ignition at the crank I am putting out 65hp at 9000 rpm. Hope this helps.

What is the stated horsepower for the new P700?

What "Go Faster" mods can be purchased for the P650, and KFX700 and where?

All this talk up souping up the Prairie is getting me worked up!

Alltoys, have you ever thought of being a politician? Youve said alot but still not really what I want to hear. All you said was well spoken and very true. I agree (you can make 2000 hp but if it dont hook up it just goes up in smoke.) Good luck on your fuel injection that would be great. An 02 sensor would be a big help in the ever present lean vs rich question, it could correct for you. have you thought of the replacment fuel pump you will use to get the psi you will need. I have found that 43psi was best for the optimum atomization (in a 30 pound injector, probably wont need this much) will you be incorporating an adjustable fuel pressure regulator? I have been thinking of taking a trip to the salvage yard myself (place is a goldmine if you see the parts for what they could be instead of what they are). Still would like to hear a bit more about your ignition though
