Another Prairie 650 jetting question
Hello all,
I require some jetting help for a stock Prairie 650. After removing the DG snorkel and TwinAir filter, I can’t seem to get the jetting right. I put in the 138f/142r Kehin jets with no washers on the needles, and the air screws at 2.5 turns out. I am at less than 500’ elevation, and I thought that this was the stock setting. It idles fine, but after about ¼ throttle, it hesitates and bogs. It will eventually rev up, but not to the normal rpm level. This condition gets worse as the engine warms up. Are these not the stock settings? These are the main jets that I used prior to the snorkel and TwinAir, but I’m not positive about the air screws and the needles. It sounds to me like it’s running rich, but I don’t understand how that could be. It ran fine last year with these main jets. I did a search, but I can't find anything similiar to my situation.
Thanks.
