Tire help for Prairie 650
#1
Hello all, My Brother just picked up his KVF 650 and wants to know what is the maximum tire and wheel size that he can install without resorting to a lift kit. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I currently have 27" mudbugs on the stock rims. There is no rubbing or any clearence problems. Some 28" inch tires require a lift to ease the strain on the cv joints. Also some 12" tires require spacers or they rub on the fuel tank. My mudbugs are 12 and i have an inch of clearence between the tire and fuel tank. It definitely is worth it to upgrade the tires. Installing the epi black spring also makes a big diff with the bigger tires.

NOVA KAW is correct on the lift, wheel spacers also add stress to the drive train... I can fit 28" X 8" X 12" zilla's on the front & 28" X 12" X 12" zilla's on the rear, mounted on ITP Magnum Billet wheels with out any modification to the suspension...Have A Good One... WAM
