i have heard on some of the topics that if you install duals on your V, you need to replace the main spring. Call me stupid but what spring are you talkin about???I am totally lost!

talk to any snowmobiler. The cvt has a main spring that determines when the clutch engages. I dont know much about it but I think the idea is to wait for higher rpms before engaging. My friend says hes gonna give me a book about sled clutches. After I read it, I'll know more. The problem is you may loose the ability to drive slow.

The Polaris guys have been deeling with this for years. Anytime you change the engine's power characteristics, the clutch engagement must be tuned to match the engine's new power band. This has been misunderstood by lots of folks, but the sledders and Polaris racers will tell you how important it is. Same goes for adding monster mud tires to your 4x4. Check out all of the clutch kits for the automatics with mud tires at Highlifter's site.
A couple of years ago, FMF developed a pipe for the Scrambler 400 and said no clutch mods were required. Several people tried them and hated them.
