Red Secondary Spring Concern?
I just took out my red spring today after running it for aprox 1 1/2 months.. There seemed to be much more belt dust in there then with stock, or the black spring. Does this mean it might be wearing the belt out

Red Secondary Spring Concern?
well one would think, but there sure was allot of belt dust in the housing after a little over a month of riding. Took the red spring out becaue it took away about 4mph on the top end, so in the summer I dont really need the higher mid & low end grunt like I do in the winter, fall & spring. So I have decided for the summer, the black spring is my best choice, then I'll go back to the red in the fall...

Red Secondary Spring Concern?
Uinthas - I'm about to order a red or a black secondary spring for a buddies 360. He's not aggressive - just wants his belt to last a little longer and get a bit better shifting caracteristics. Is the black spring the way to go and is there a noticable difference between the stock spring and the black spring?

Red Secondary Spring Concern?
There is little difference between the stock & black spring.. When I first installed the black I certainly noticed it.. But if you want a big difference then the red spring would be your best bet.. Only problem with the red is your running a higher RPM so it's a bit noisier, & you loose around 4mph on top end. But you'll be surprised how much more low & mid end power you gain, especially in high gear, I could climb just about any hill in high. I have basically come to the conclusion I'll use the Black in the summer where lower end grunt is not as important & top end is, then when fall comes around & things get muddy again I'll switch back to the red for Fall, Winter & Spring.. Next thing I'd like to try is getting some ligher clutch weights & give them a shot, I have heard from a local dealer that those are worth the money, but havn't actually talked to anyone who has installed & used them yet..

one more thing with the red spring, let it break in a bit, when I first installed mine the engine was very noisy & I couldn't go near as fast, but that spring is so freeking strong it takes some miles to break it in a bit, then you'd me much happier with it.. After taking mine out I could tell it was not as strong as when I 1st installed it..
