tail lights?

I built a 4 flat connector that hooks to the trailer on one end and to the 2 pin aux power harness in the back of the wheeler. It turns on the trailer lights as soon as you plug it in, and there is no brake lights, but it works for what I do.

I bought a plug from radio shack that fits right into the plug on the back of my wheeler, I then ran the positive from that plug and hooked it to the pin for the trailer running lights, took the other pin from the wheeler and hooked it to the trailer ground pin. its just a plug and play harness now. It only runs the running lights on the trailer, no brake lights or signals or anything.

What would I have to do to hook up electric brakes? I am looking at a trailer at tag-a-long trailers and they have electric brakes. Thanks

Wow, electric brakes on an ATV trailer, thats pretty serious. Most vehicle brake controlers just need to mount level and apply trailer brakes depending on how far forward a pendulum swings inside it. on an uneven terrain on a downhill slope on your atv it would probably apply the brakes when you didnt want them. but thats a good question....
