Default module hook up problems...:(

...OK I hooked up the module (from Califorina )and the belt light blinks.AND it won't go over 7 MPH and it starts missing/sputtering.....I did the "nyroc" belt cancel switch "After" I checked the belt deflection..(which was in its limits)...I notice there are two pink wires... one toward the front and one in the center plug closest to the tool bag..I used the one closer to the tool pouch...now to rid myself of the blinking belt light...I removed the module and rehooked the original wires..and again I used the nyroc belt cancel method ,and it got rid of the blinking belt light...what am I doing wrong...I'm anxious to get the module installed the right way...now I lost the dang instructions...not having a good weekend with this...thanks in advance ..

Cut the pink wire where it goes into the cdi. Hook the module to the pink wire at the cdi and leave the pink end going to the speed sensor unhooked. There's always the chance that you have a bad module too. The three wire module only requires power, ground and output to the cdi unlike the 4 wire units which need input from the speed sensor also.
