Default New Noise on P650

I have noticed a noise and it sounds like it is coming from the area where my coverter and engine brake are located. This noise started after I got into some pretty deep water last weekend, deep enough to get into my air box but none in the crankcase, I changed the oil anyway. This noise happens when I get on the gas hard, its sort of like a winding or spinning noise and only lasts for a second or two then goes away. After reading post on this forum, I thought it might be the engine brake so I removed the fuse to disable it and the noise is still there. Anyone have any thoughts on where the noise is coming from. I still have 2 months of my factory warranty and would like to fix it before it expires. Thanks for your help.

Have you serviced/greased the driven clutch helix "buttons" lately? Was there water in the belt cover?

No, I haven't greased the helix bottons on the driven clutch since I bought it. Yes, there was water in the belt cover. The ATV has 670 miles on it now. Thanks for your help.

It could also be the bearing on the end of the primary ( front ) clutch that the K-BEC fork presses on

I would recommend servicing the driven clutch helix, installing a "black spring", and adjusting belt tension. The manual calls for using molydisulfide grease on the helix, this grease is used in CV joints in cars, etc. Good Luck!

I installed the black spring when I bought it and removed the only shim that was there. I will try greasing the helix buttons tonite and inspect the front drive bearing and see if this gets rid of the noise. I might also add that this noise only occurs when I am moving in gear, it does not happen when in neutral. Thanks again for your help.

Well, I didn't check the differentials. I was only in the water for a few minutes before I got out. I wouldn't think they would fill that fast but I will check them also.
