Default we crashed

last thusrday my and my neighbor were on his p650. we were doing a wheelie down the road, and hit a dog!this shot us into the ditch where i flew off and he and the 4wheeler kept going. neither of us were wearing a helmet. i broke my right arm (both bones) and he dislocated his shoulder. we are lucky thats all that happened. the left a-arm bent, tie-rod bent, front bumper bent, headlight smashed, plastic busted off, handlebars bent, rim bent, and tire blew....kinda costly. oh yeah the dog isnt even hurt.....be careful guys!!!

I know down south in the heat & humidity, its hard to talk everyone into wearing a helmet, & I can't say that here in the midwest, that I always wear a helmet... but use a little common sense for all our sakes...don't pull wheelies with a passenger, & always wear a hemet when riding aggessively... you guys are really lucky that with as much damage as the quad sustained, that one or both of you didn't get killed... too many accidents like that, & we will see national size & speed limits imposed on all our quads... spank...spank...spank

....we just had two deaths last month at the area where I ride......a 40 year old man (on motorcycle) and a 14 year old kid (on a quad) ran "head on"......

I'm sketchy on the details, but I know both of them died......

I have heard that most accidents happen while driving a ATV up ramps onto a truck

I have seen ramps shoot out from under the quad while loading onto a truck, and cause alot of damage to quad and loader... It only took me about 20 minutes to modify my ramps to lock into my truck so they don't move while I am loading.

I made a set of ramps out of angle iron and no matter what terrain you are in, as soon as you start to go up the ramps (or down) the bottom of the angle irons dig in and the ramps don't move. It's amazing that people will spend $10,000 (Can.) for a quad and then load it on their truck with some crappy old 2x6s they had behind the barn.
