V-Force hi-speed darting
#1
How do we fix this? I know I'm not the only one with this problem, the quad will dart left to right while driving fast. I think it might be the tires. I can try out my radial Z400 tires on the front in September to see if this helps. Anyone have any ideas or thoughts?

I see this when riding on pavement even at slower speeds. in my situation, it could be a couple of things. My left front tire is a little out of round. I can tell by watching it rotate as I ride. Also, I had a little play in my steering. I tightened the tie-rod end nuts at the knuckles and at the steering stem. This seemed to help.
If you find another fix, please post it.
Thanks,
Mark

The early DS650's also had this problem and they got newly designed a-arms and new tires and this fixed the darting. I would like to hear about the stearing stabalizer. Does it add to the steering effort at all? Any pics of it mounted?

Steering stabilizer will fix the high speed twitch.....this is a must on the Raptor IMO.

The steering stabilizer was $135 from PEP. I did not notice much difference in steering effort but the bumpsteer is gone. In the rough stuff you can practically let go of the bars and it will go where it's pointed instead of darting to the side.
I have the WER on my Cannondale and it is much more adjustable but costs $360. I hear good things about the Denton too. I say the dampner is a must for the VForce. This is the first mod. I have put on and it is well worth the $135. Now it's time for some PEP suspension!
