I don't have a Mojave but have ridden one quite a bit. I think it was actually an 87 but it ran like it was brand new. They are a ton of fun. Very maneuverable and quick for a 250. The wheelie very easily too You'll have a lot of fun on it.

mojaves are very fun and realiable with normal maintenance. get a klr 250 cdi for it. it will allow it to rev higher. you might want to adjust the gearing and it is pretty cheap to do at $7 a front sprocket and like 21 for a rear at rocky mtn. you should be able to beat or hang with your buddies already unless they are modified. the mojave has good power for a 250. if you want to make it look better you could get nerf bars, aftermarket grab bar, and a bumper. new handlebars arent a bad idea also. if you need any help at all ask and us mojave guys will get the answer for you.

i had 2 1/2 mojaves in my quad riding history and even though they are not the fastest, biggest, best looking with alittle mods it can go along way because they ar tought as nails and id have to say owning alot of different machines the mojave is most reliable and was the one i had the most fun on(hard to belive knowing i had a shee)
