Default General recoil starter problems

This is a fix for anyone with a recoil starter like on the Kodiak or the P650.

As you may know the rope will not retract sometimes. This is because you have to much friction between the plastic rope housing and the friction plate that holds it all together. If you take the nut and sheild off and install a washer "spacer" between the friction plate and the plastic rope housing all friction will be eliminated.

That nut has to be tight. If it isnt the arm will not come out and turn the crank. If it nut is to tight sometimes the friction is so great the spring that retracts the rope isnt strong enough to over come friction.

Like I said, install a washer between the friction plate and the plastic rope houseing and you will be set. I am 100% sure this will work.
