Default V Force Fuel Leak

Hi, I just noticed a small dab of fuel about the size of dime under my V Force. Its slowly comming out of the small hole under the frame. This hole is where the frame comes to an "A" shape (right behind the A Arms and in front of the engine. I checked for any runs down comming from the top to the bottom of the frame. Nothing is leaking down the frame, engine, carbs, or anywhere I can see. I wiped it off and it very slowly definaltly comes back outside the hole in the frame. I am truly stumped on why its comming frm here. Does anybody know if there is some kind of bleeder tube or overflow tube wired into the frame? Is this normal?. Im sure this hole is here for a reason, but im not sure if its for fuel or water drainage. Any help with this weird situation is appreciated
Thanks

Hi 700..

I had the same problem with my V a while back. In my case the gas was coming from the overflow tube hanging down from the carbs. The fuel would run down verry slowly and drip down in the same place as you are discribing. I had just gotten through with installing a dynojet kit when I noticed it. What I did was went up a size in jets and cleaned the air filter. A friend told me that the engine was juat starving for air. If you have not messed with the jets, try cleaning the air filter and see what happens.

Default V Force Fuel Leak

I am having the same problems with my 650 only mine is "gushing" fuel out of the same area. I took it to the dealership and they said it was a fuel vent hose. I went riding this weekend and had the same problems. I am riding at 10,000-12,000 feet and a fello rider suggested that the altitude may be the cause???? Also, is anyone having problems with shifting? I am having grinding problems and when shifting from 2 Low to 2 High, I have to force ths shifter back, let up on the brake and then it grinds and slams into gear - sound familiar to anyone???? Thanks

Thanks so much for the help. I did take my air filter off and the gasket that the air filter sits on was slightly sucked in towards the carbs. There is an oily residue but reall does not smell like gas (around the bottom of the filter). I put the gasket back in its place and it still is slightly leaking fuel. Just enough to get on your finger. Its defintly comming from inside the frame and not dripping down from the outside of the frame. My air filter was clean, with no dirt/dust.
Thanks
