Race Plastic Question
#1
How much dirtier do you get with cut/race plastic on a Mojave? Does it affect riding gear and goggles very much? I hate the droopy look of my plastic now, but I ride trails with mud and water and I don't want to have to continuely clean my goggles...Thanks in advance

Mahnster is right, race cut plastics are mostly for looks. Although this past week they came in handy. While riding tight dirt bike trails where quads don't belong I found it a bit easier, not to metion healthier, on my fenders since they were race cut. In addition, if you roll it seems like there is much less damage done (I managed to ditch mine and suprisingly nothing cracked, only slight rim damage). As for the mud factor, it hits you straight on.
Just my two cents.......

It is definitely about the looks!! They just look cool!! As far as getting dirty...that's just part of the sport. I race hare scrambles with my race cut plastic, so you can only imagine how dirty I get during a race. Tear-offs, and pull-offs work wonders!!
