Stock Polaris spring in V Force review!
I decided to put my brothers stock Polaris spring in my 700 to see how it would do. The first thing I saw was, the Polaris spring was 1/2" longer then the 700, (Polaris was 2 7/8, 700 2 3/8)and a wider coil. So to get the Polaris spring down to the lenth of the 700's, it took 20lbs of force. I don't know when the 700 engages, but I think it's around when the spring gets to 2". So it took 20lbs of force to get the 700 spring to 2". To get the Polaris spring to 2" it takes 46lbs, or 26lbs more when it's at the same lenth as the 700's. So if this is true, The Polaris spring should engage a little higher then the 700 stock set up. Now the install.
After installing, the Polaris spring engages about 200-300rpm higher then the stock set up, yet still very trail friendly. I took it on a 20 mile trail trip threw rocks, hills, mud, and some fast area's, and came back happy with this set up. The flat spot that I always feel about 40mph was gone to. It just climbed all the way up. I was not able to get a full speed run on it, but on the low end it felt quicker and snappier. I don't know what the full up-shift of the 700 is, but it takes 117lbs of force to get the Polaris spring to 1 1/4" and I don't feel the 700 stock spring is that high. So over all, I like it, and it didn't cost me anything. So if anyone knows someone with a stock Polaris spring, you might want to give it a try.

Stock Polaris spring in V Force review!
This is what I've been telling you guys all along. A spring in the 3" vicinity will do wonders for the wall that the stock V's seem to hit. The 2 springs I've been using are both 2 7/8 inches long, one with thicker coils than the other. I just bought a new spring that's a little over 3 1/4 inches long with thin coils rated at 60/200 that I'm going to try out soon.
