Prarie 300 2wd (any good?)
#1
I have been thinking about buying a 250-300 class quad for my significant other.
I am looking for an auto-tranny quad, with a good record for reliability. I am hopeing to find a used one some where, whether it is a Prarie or other 250-300 class auto quad, 2wd.
Thanks,
Larry R.

Seeing that nobody other than the 335 sportsman has a 300 class automatic with standard engine braking(which I would highly value), I would consider the prarie my favorite among this class. Good reliable manufacturer, rather powerfull engine for the size, good suspension as well. Kawasaki doesn't make junk, they just don't throw out new models every year. I would reccomend it from what I have read and from looking at it. Somebody here is bound to have either that or its 4x4 brother to give you some info.

I agree with Andy. Kawasaki doesn't appear interested in producing new models as often as the competition. I own a Bayou 220 that hasn't seen a major design change in over 10 years of production.
If it isn't broke, don't fix it.
