Default pink spring review...

I put the pink spring in my V today. Why do they call it pink? Anyway it definately seems to have more midrange and the low end feels about the same. It did seem a little flat on top end but that could be because the mid is stronger so the top feels less than before. Unfortunately I don't have anyone to compare it to yet, hopefully this weekend. I did notice when I was coming down a slight hill tapped out if felt like I was hitting the rev limiter? I wouldn't suggest running this spring with many mods or you might start hitting the limiter? Anyway it was cheap and easy enough to install so what the heck might as well give it a try!

Is anyone else having problems posting? I don't know if the last post went or not? I threw the pink spring in today and it couldn't have been easier. I noticed the low end felt the same, mid range definately pulled a lot harder and top end seemed flat. The top end might feel flat though because I gained so much more mid. It did feel like I lost a couple mph top end and when I was going down a hill tapped out I felt the rev limiter kicking in. I would be hesitant about doing to many mods with this spring cause I think you would hit the limiter pretty easy. Haven't been able to run anyone yet to see how it does though.

From a company called Web Cams. I tried them out this morning .... and they
do make a noticable difference.

I see WEBCAM offers only one grind.
V-Forcer-- did you buy the titanium springs? What is the mid-range to high RPM throttle response like. VERY noticable? Have you done much carb tweeking?

You are correct ........ only one grind for the KFX right now ........ and it is a direct
replacement ........... no need to change springs etc.

As for power ......... I would say the change is about equal to the difference that the
HMF dual exhaust made.

As for carb ......... I am using the dynojet needles with 146/150 jets right now. Will
likely try 150/155 tomorrow after I put the EPI clutch kit in.

V-Forcer-- thanks for the info. I put the EPI "pink" and "black" springs in last nite. Was unable to ride it much. It DOES engage about 300rpm higher than stock, that is all I noticed, with no real test ride.

Put the pink spring in my V last week. Went on a small test ride with the GPS definitely seems to have more pull in the midrange (15mph to 55mph is alot stronger) and the low/top end feels about the same. Might have a slight gain on top end (2-3 mph)... need to do more testing to confirm top end.

Has anyone (other than me) put in the "black" spring on the driven pulley, along WITH the "pink" drive clutch spring?
