Thanks,
I only have 55 miles on mine and just topped it off and reset the B trip meter. I'll report.
I guess the "Gas Light" is acculally the blinking LED? Pretty small and hard to see with polarized glasses on. I got to be carefull.

My first custom rear rack included 2 - 2.5 gallon gas cans... I was assuming that I'd go through gas twice as fast as our 300 Prairie... but I found out I get nearly the same mileage... only thing I can figure, is that the 300 is a pooch, & I was on the throttle fully all the time... now with the 650, on tight trails, I'm rarely on the throttle fully ??? I hit the flashing reserve light at about 60 miles and have run past 80 miles without running out of fuel yet. This on a combination of tight rough trails mixed with wide open dirt road but definitly not old man easy riding.

Light starts flashing between 60 and 65 miles, but have never run out of gas ( always carry extra). I get nervous riding out miles from anything without any extra fuel. Have extra 3.0 gallon tank on back of bike, see pictures.
Have started running most of the time in low, which means getting about 15 miles per gallon.
