you probably heard this all from people who are closed minded individuals who only like one or two brands
i havnt raced anything thats really in my class, except a banshee thats moded out and had only one working piston, i beat him pretty easy , but that was to be excepted
this is my first quad but i think its pretty damn nice, its no where near slow
you should ride one before you listen to what anyone says about them, good or bad

You obviously are not reading these forums or you wouldnt be contradicting what you read. I can tell you this without a doubt. My V-Force will spank your Z-400......so I guess it isnt too slow because Z-400's are pretty quick. I dont want to get a flame going here, leave that for the kids!! Really, the V-Force is an admirable machine for which it was designed. It is very fast and tourquey, almost scary for the faint at heart! It may not jump as well as some of the lighter/smaller machines but it is well balanced and will jump higher and farther than most people will be willing to push it and if you want more, you can invest in a good set Elka's and problem solved. YOU definately need to take one for a ride...........you might just be surprised to find out what you've been hearing is just someone elses uneducated, second wind BS. Later

I really like my vforce. I haven't had time to ride with anyone else yet but I'm sure it will hold it's own. Yeah it's probably not the fastest, but your never going to be, there's guys spending thousands of dollars on thier bikes. So far it appears to be reliable, easy to start, and very easy to ride. Eventually I'm going to spend a little money on exhaust and intake (Already have the pink spring from Epi coming), but for now I'm extremely glad I bought the quad! I love the shaft drive, I don't ever have to worry about chain maintainence and I'm going to throw a hitch on it! The only down sides I've found are two things: It loves fuel! I definately need to buy an Ims tank because it seems like you run out fairly fast. And the other downside is after riding manual clutch machines it sometimes feels kind of boring not shifting! But let me tell you, once you hit a windy trail through the woods you will LOVE this machine! It's awsome to rip through the woods without ever having to worry about shifting, you can concentrate on riding and it allows you to fly! I debated buying the YFZ450 only because I love those four stroke YZ's!!!!!!! But when it came right down to it I would rather have less maintence and reverse. Besides it's a 700 for crying out loud and there's no replacement for displacement when it comes to modding motors!!!!

I love my V-Force, its fun and reliable. This weekend I was jumping it fairly hard and it never complained once. It jumps as good as my stock Z400 did and maybe a little bit better, at least it feels that way. The power is so nice, the engine is smooth, you will live this quad. Try it, its great. The only downside is it does feel heavy when you have to pick it up, other than that you do not feel the weight.

For a tall guy the only bikes that felt big enough to be comfortable were the DS 650 and the V. And the DS is just too big. It is a quick bike and I can keep up with my friends on 250Rs and Raptors. But I am already trying to figure out how to give it more top end.
Maybe the biggest difference is that after a 3 - 5 hours of riding they are tired and I still have at least one ride left in me. You can ride this bike all day, after day.

I have a 04 v-force and my brother has 03 z400 with pipe and jet kit, and My friend has a 03 raptor, the raptor and the v are both stock....we all 3 lined up on the pavement about 6 time in a row, I think we only finished one race out of all 6. everytime we would go I would be in the lead on my V and the raptor and z400 would end up stopping and turning around because they didnt like thier start....My starts werent very good either and it was my first races on the V. The final results however are this...the raptor can come back at the top end and pass me, but it takes him so long to catch up with me the race would be over by that time...we were racing on a very, very long street....the z400 would never catch me, but if we started from around 30 to 40 mph the V and the Z would pretty much be side by side the whole time....top speed on the z and the V were just about the exact same...the raptor tops out about 3 or 4 mph faster...again my v is all stock I havent even replaced the sping yet.....at the end of this, my brother, on the Z, finally admitted he said, and I quote " By the time i get my front end on the ground you are already about 6 quad links in front of me and there is no way in the world I could ever catch you" and he is a very good and experienced rider...I look up to his abilaties....So for an automatic it cannot be beat, I love it....and I also love my brothers Z...I could really care less about the raptor....I dont like them but they are really good looking. sorry this was such a long story.

You must have heard those things from someone with a grudge or something. My V jumps and turns great. Go to my pictures and see me jumping and sliding corners on a track. There are faster bikes, but if you want to do some work, pipes, jets, airbox,..I'm sure the V would be tought to beat. The bike is heavy, but with the power it puts out I don't notice it, then again I'm a good size guy, I go 230lbs. I can handle the bike just fine on the trails, jumps or a track. I would recomend the V to anyone. One last thing, my wife and 15 year old step daughter love to ride the V700. They can handle it very well.
