Default Blown 650 Rear Shock

Unloaded my quad sunday after 35 miles of riding in Maine and noticed the rear end to be VERY soft with a very noticable bounce. Looked at the rear shock and there appears to be oil and dirt all around the spring and shock itself. When you lift up on the rear of the bike, the shock makes an air sucking noise and squats quite badly.

I know they are rebuildable, would a motorcycle shop that rebuilds motorcycle shocks be able to do it or do I need to get parts for it? Just wondering, would like to ride this sunday and don't know if I can get rebuilt in time. Any suggestions? Thanks....

Parker,

Check out NYROC's website. He has the number of a guy who rebuilds the shocks and has parts available... Good luck!

Default Blown 650 Rear Shock

Does anyone know where I can buy the parts to rebuild the rear shock on my P650? I'm guessing it was the seals but am not sure. Just looking to find out where I can buy the parts to rebuild it. Thanks

Parker

Did you contact Steve Mathewson? Krabid gave me this info.

Was it not helpful?

If you find anyting more helpful that this, let me know so I can store it and help the next guy with a bad shock.
