Garmin V Deluxe GPS price Drop to 320.00
I have used the GPS V for a few years now. Before that had a GPS III. I got the bike mount and my brother made a custom bar for the 650 that we bolted into the mirror mount sockets. You can see some picture on My Gallery Page.
I use the Mapsource software that came with GPS V and have also purchased the Roads and Recreation software. Can download from the PC to GPS or from GPS to PC for mapping and waypoints.

Where did you find it at that price? If that is true I would say get it. I had one. I liked the features it has so much (19 Mb of map storage, address to address turn by turn directions and more) I sold it to my brother and bought the streetpilot III ($800.00) because it has a larger screen that's color and I thought it had all the same features. Well to make a long story short, the streetpilot is nice, but the GPS V does more and costs less. I think you will be thrilled with it. Where can I get one at that price?

The price will be affective 8-25-03 @ http://www.safetracgps.com/ . They are the best priced place I found doing extensive searching. I have not done business with them before. I'm going in.
Thanks for the reply on the Bread Crumb trail.
I called Garmin today on it and with no hold time got a rep and was told the same. He also pointed out to set the interval to 2 seconds, and zoom in under 500 Ft.
