i just got my winch from the dealer and have a question about wiring it up on the 700 praire. the instructions say to hook it up thru one of the wires from the key switch. which one of the wires from the key switch am i supposed to use. thanks

 

I was told the brown wire on my winch, though I am having issues with my installation now. For some reason it keeps blowing the relay when I try using power to winch out. WHen I use power to winch in, I am ok. Dealer installed the winch, and it did this, they sent me a new relay, and it did it again, and then I uninstalled it, and reinstalled a brand new one, and the same thing happens. This is on my 2003 Prairie 650, and a warn 3000 lb winch.

 

I used the acc. fuse under the seat has power when the key is and none when off.I use the winch alot and haven't had any problems.Ther are 4 fuses should be a 5 amp.

 

i'll give that acc fuse idea a try. thanks
