Bent Frame
#1
My son was riding our Lakota and a tree jumped out and hit the right front tire and wheel, The tree and my son are fine. The tie rod end snapped and upon further inspection the frame where the lower rear A arm pivot mounts was bent pretty bad the right wheel is about 3" back from the left. Is this a repairable problem? Do I need to get a new frame$$$$? Maybe some judicious bending and welding?

This happened to me on one of my Mojaves. I turned the quad open it's side, then I got a piece a thick steel stock that I across on the front and rear wheels. Then i took a hydralic jack and a chain. I set the jack on the steel stock and wrapped the chain around the frame and the jack. Then I heated it up a little then jacked the jack until the tube looked striaght with the other. I left the jack on it over night to make sure the tube could form to it's position. Don't cool the metal with water, it will make it weaker. Once the jack has been on it over night, let the jack down and see if the tube moves any. If it does jack it up more then before so the tube is bent out a little. Let it sit like this over night. If it doesn't move take it off and remove the a-arms and weld up the crack. I put a tube between the two tube so it would be stronger. I fish mouthed the tube ends and it looks liked it came like that from the factory.
