Default 24x11x10 paddles for the Vforce review

I have trying to find right paddle tires for my vforce since I first bought it four months ago. I started out with a set of 20x10x10 Skat trak 10 paddles and even though they were a vast improvement over the sock nobby tires all they seemed to do is dig holes. I then changed to 22x11x10 Skat Trak 10 paddles and they were a great improvement but still tended to dig in. I found that on long steep climbs up sand mountain the front end wanted to come up.
I am 6'6'', weight 350 lbs and definitely need something with more floatation. I have been talking to Larry at Skat Trak for the past 3 months trying to find out what the best paddle tire for the 700 would be for my situation. He special order 30 sets of Douglas 190 rims which are 11 inches wide. The idea was to use a 24x11x10 tire and stretch it out over the wider rims providing more flotatation. I order a set of the rims and tires with 9 extreme paddles and feel I finally have the ultimate tire for my Vforce. They float much better, dont dig in and the front end stays down much better on long pulls. The seem to hold the side hills better when side tracking in the big bowls. The Douglas part number for the 11 inch wide rim is 019-06. I dont know if they have any left but I would highly recommend them.

I had a chance to drive slc1lxm's vforce last week at sound mountain. Theese were really cool paddles. I felt a little higher off the ground, but it wasn't awkward. I even got to race his Vforce against my cousin on my vforce and his was better on sand mountain, but that may be due to other factors because we have different pipe/jetting setups. I think the 24" would be perfect for larger riders. I'm just medium sized so I'm gonna stick with my 22" haulers.

The 24 inch tires do make the vforce sit slightly higher on the back end but hardly noticeable. They are a blast to ride!!!

The number for Skat Trak is 909-795-2505. Ask for Larry as he is the most knowledgeable about the vforce wheel and tire applications. The set should run you around $375 plus shipping.
