Nice webpage. Thanks for sharing. Like the Yoshi's sound. I should have spent the extra and got them too.

wonder if the Yoshis actually put out more hp.?.

I know I want I set of duals...but they seem rediculously pricey. Unless they just produce a better hp increase...I'll take chances w/ a less pricey setup.

Olddirtrider, have you changed the clutch sping yet?

DesertSportsman, are you dissatisfied w/ your HMFs?

The only thing i have down so far is install the Yoshi's! Yes I can feel a differance in power! I went with the Yoshi because as far as I know they are the only pipes for the 700 that has a crossover pipe and I feel that is important. The imbalance created by 2 pipes with double the length from front to rear cylinder is a problem without the crossover. So that's why I bit the bullet and paid the price! Also I like there sound level and silencer kit.

I am waiting to here how the new Snorkel kit works before i even rejet.

No, the HMF's are okay except for mainly the fit and finish. I havent seen a set yet that fit nice and even. One side sits at an angle that doesnt match the other side. I do like the power they produce, but they are loud. I like the way the Yoshi's and the DMC's mount up. Should've spent the money for either of them. Also the HMF's are hard mounted to the bike, no grommets. I dont like that!

The Yoshi's were a bit of a challenge to mount, but the do come with all the right hardware and I didn't have to modify anything. as far as the sound level, they are very load until you install the Tec kit which comes with a choice of 96 or 93 db inserts with spark arrestors. I am running the medium tip in the video clip and I will use the 93db tips when I go to Glamis this fall. If you would like I will post some close up pic's of the installation on my site.

HMF - loud and not all that nice sounding.
DMC Alien - OMG LOUD. Did I mention this one is LOUD! Way way way too loud, but with a decent tone to it.
Pro Circuit - Ok sounding, but loud.
Yoshimura - SEXY sounding, and fairly quiet for a performance exhaust.

These sound clips, together with dyno stats posted elsewhere have led me to order a Yoshimura exhaust, probably the carbon fiber or stainless, ... just cannot afford that titanium.

Hey man........I'd like to hear the Yoshi pipe but I can't seem to get to the proper place on your site. Can you tell me how to find it from your web page or send me a link? Thanks, Rudy

If you copy the link on the first post in this section and then paste it into the address bar it should take you directly to the correct page. Then double click on the video and wait for Real Downloads to receive the file and open it to play. You will need Microsoft media player to play it!

If that doesn't work go to ditchpickle.com then select photos at the upper left, click on the picture of me on my V700, then click on the album "First Ride", then go to page 2 and you will find the 2 videos and a pic of my wife and I on our 700's. Again click on either the broad band video or dialup video.

FYI, I created Ditchpickle.com for KFX700 riders to post pictures and videos on just for fun! You can post pictures anywhere in the site like classified, if you want to sell a part or something.

Just because I know someone will ask, Why Ditchpickle? One of my good riding buddies up in MN, calls Kawi 700's Ditchpickles because they are green like a pickle and they will damn sure dig ditches! So anyway I thought it was sort of cool and created this site.
