valve clearance (p650)

valve clearance (p650)
I have about 720miles 122hours on my 650 and i haven't checked the clearance on it yet. i have noticed a slight knocking every now and then, would this be a sign of checking the vavle clearance?, what other signs are there? also when has everybody else been doing the vavle clearance? thanks
