All my testing is on dirt. We tried to find some pavement but none were safe for a full test.

Nowakaw650, I couldnt believe what a time difference I had in 4wd. You are right about 4wd and the P650/700. I hope that red 400ex shows back up on Sunday. Things will be different this time.

Got some testing done today. Tested for 6 hours, for a total of 38 miles and almost a tank of gas. Im not sure how may runs we did because I didnt figure anything up yet. We still have 3 springs left to test and hopefully the rain will hold off tomorrow. I put the Dalton blue spring in at the end and did a test ride with it. I dont mean to offend anyone but all I can say is I wouldnt kick a dog in the a$$ for that spring. Although it has good hold back on hills it slows me down way to much when letting off the gas on level ground and I could only get 61mph on level hardtop surface where as I could get 64 with the stock spring and EPI B/G spring.

The big suprise of the day came from the stock P700 spring. To catch the results of this spring and others look for a full blown out test Monday evening.

i've narrowed my spring choices to the stock p700 or the EPI Pink. I'm IMPATIENTLY awaiting your results

No offense taken with regards to our blue spring KOD,But the very same thing that hurts top end on a prairie(high top end RPM),actually helps top end on a V-force..(its intended purpose). Unless of course you were to tune the rest of your clutching accordingly, and or change change the shift ratio with large oversize tires. I know of one 650 p in particular (with some light engine mods)that i tested until 9.30 last night ....it turned 5.95 in 300'....that would gladly "kick a dog in the ***" for the blue spring that is in it.

Helix - who's 650 was the machine you tested? Probably someone I know. BTW - Helix's 300 foot dragstrip uses timing lights; no stopwatch operator error involved.

Helix, I know in the post above that he said the plain/white gave awesome result's....why does the "softer" plain white at 114 lbs, finish perform better than the "stiffer" blue at 155 lbs finish???I do have a 700 Pra. and the clutching is set-up like the V-Force, with the same primary and secondary but with different fly weight's than the V, since the cam timing on the Pra is set for lower rpm"torque" I am assuming the Plain/white will work better than the blue on both the 650/700 Prairie's, right, don't have the fund's for the matching weight's yet, just want a little better acceleration than stock.....

Hey stakk I just sent you a private message. I tried the HPD silver/gold spring today in the V with really good results. I dry-wiped a heavily modded raptor at both 100 and 250 yds. about 10 times. I have Duncan duals and 152/148 jetting with snorkel removed.

Stakk,
I remember seeing a post you made some time ago that you did not see the advantage of an extra 50cc what made you trade off your 650 for a P700 LOL. I traded my 650 also so I am going to play with the P700 to see what I can do with it. If you wish send me your clutch I will moddify it for you.

Alltoy's, I really did not see the advantage until I rode a 650 and then a 700 back to back, since you have one now to, I guess you know why also......I was going to trade for a 04 model regardless of whether it was still a 650 or 700, the extra cc's were just a bonus, The 02 650 had 3000 miles on it and the 03 and especially this 700 have a better and more refined clutch and belt set-up, so I went for it, I guess I am going to put the spring's in for the same reason I did the 650 better belt wear, and the aftermarket spring's just "feel" harder hitting and better throttle response, warranty is still on for several month's before i start re-doing the clutch's, I already like the performance of this 700 in stock form way better than my 650 was stock........
