Default Carb problems

Hi all, I've got a problem. I've got a Kawi that's been in storage for about a year. Upon starting it again, it fired up in two tries. But the throttle sticks and when I turn the handle bars to the right, the idel rev's like crazy. What do you guys think?

I think it wasn't put into storage properly and now it needs service.

The carb will probably need to be disassembled and cleaned.

yes on a carb cleaning, if it revs when you turn the handle bar, the throttle cable is probably sticking as well... I use Stabil in mine every tank, just because I don't have a garage & don't know how long it will bew sitting in the sun...

Hi,
I dought you need a carb cleaning. If you can do it yourself then do it but dont waist the money at the dealer. 45 an hour isnt worth there bullcrap and wait for it 2 weeks. All it is is your cable has been pulled down to short somehow. Caught on something. Grab the cable by the bars and pull up on it a bit to give it more room to move thru the full range of your steering. What proble caught is there is an extra tubing on the cable for safty reasons and that makes a little step and that proboly caught on the cable guide that is mounted on the front of the frame right by your steering shaft.

dought ---> doubt

waist----> waste

safty ----> safety

proboly-----> probably

dictionaries are only about 4 or 5 dollars, check them out.

I oardered a speal cheker for my web browzer so you guys wil stop teezing me.

There is one thing that bugs me on these forums, and that is when I read a post that has no punctuation at all, mixed with bad grammar. Sometimes I can't decipher what they said and I just skip it.
