Shifter fix
#1
The shifter on my vforce now moves when I try to shift it into gear what happened was IT wouldn't go into reverse so I guess i applied a little to much force so now the whole thing moves. Will kawasaki cover that under warrenty or is there a way to fix this?

98cobra- Most likely you know this by now but just in case you don't you need to apply the foot brake to shift into reverse. Not trying to be funny just wanted to make sure you didn't do it to your new one also. For all I know you just bought a band new v.

Thanks kongmen but I had it for a little while now and yes the foot brake was pressed even harder the more pissed I got when it wouln't engage o well time to take it to the dealer such a hassle though. Bigcreek what did you tell them when you took it in?

I just showed them how the indicator portion turned with the shifter and told them I noticed it after a recent ride. They took it apart and found a pin broken. He said it didn't appear repairable, and told me that he would order a new one. Just by coincidence (I suppose), the neutral light shortly after stopped illuminating. He said he would get a new instrument panel as well. I think Kawi wants to get a good name out for the V and will work with you. If your dealer is reasonable at all this shouldn't be a hassle.
