650 hesitates when taking off hard

Default 650 hesitates when taking off hard

cleaned air filter and re oiled now praire is slow on take off could i have over oiled the filter also replaced plugs and they were black.

Think I did the same thing, I thought maybe it was the ignition retard,
I did have too much oil on the filter and I recleaned the filter and used less oil
and it seems better riding in the yard. Mine seemed fine from a roll but hesitated from a full stop.
Haven't had a chance to really check it.

Default 650 hesitates when taking off hard

After you oil any foam filter you should place it between 2 rags, lay it on the floor and step all over it! That's the best way to get the excess oil out. All you want is a very fine coating of oil on the foam cell walls, you don't want the cells filled with oil. That very thin layer of oil is what the dust sticks to; any more than that and you block air flow.
