If you order any aftermarket rims for your V make sure you get the ones that are reinforced. I had ordered some Realters a while back and figured the .190's would be strong enough....not at all. I throughly "tacoed" both rears last weekend while jumping. This story does have a happy ending though...new ITP T-9 Baja all the way around coming this week. Hey Mudfoot, sorry to hear about your rims I was on the orange Vforce with the Yosh pipes trying to chase you down at Hollister on Sat. It was nice to see four Vforces at the park in one day.

The front of your V sure sits low, lower than the rear. Is that the normal height for Elkas ? Those Realters looked like they hooked up well on the hard pack, I was surprised.

Rudy (upside down V ) was ok, he may need a new stem and grab bar.

Hope to see you back at Hollister soon.

Vforce Rage, That sucks that your buddy rolled his V. It didn't look too bad though. That was my first trip to Hollister, man that is a sweet state park, I loved that track they had, couldn't go wrong except for a few of the corners(choppy). The realters did o.k., a little too much slide after the track had dried up some. The Yosh. pipes looked great! I was nervous that my V wouldn't be running well, I had just rejetted back to stock needles and Keihin jets, I was happy with it though, I noticed that my fan barely ran at all and the power seemed swell I agree it was nice to see some fellow V's out there. I was just going to run a few more laps at the end of the day before we took off, after the second lap I was coming around a corner and it just felt mushy looked back and sure enough "taco's," my body was beat so it was time to get anyway. The elka's did lower it quite a bit, which I didn't mind, I love the ride they give, don't make the mistake I made, I ordered them from Elka direct...too much$$$. I need to stiffen them up a bit though because I was grabbin' some frame a few times after some of those jumps. Sorry I didn't stop when your bud crashed, but everything looked under control when we had arrived, and I know I don't like a lot of attention when I wipe out. We'll definately be going back soon I'll post when we plan to, hope to see ya there sometime. Ride On!

Those Baja wheels are awesome... I like a shorter tire when I hare scramble race with my ( soon to be 750 ) Prairie... I often run a set of 9" X 9" Bajas, with either 22" TSL's, or 22" Schredders... I "poor mans bead lock them" ... a 3/4" stainless screw everyother hole in the reinforcing ring, into the bead... inside & out... I wish they would make them in a 12" wheel, as it leaves me wanting on the fronts... I just discovered Keizer wheels... they are custom made to order, can be made with any custom off set, are repairable ( the halves separate & can be changed out if damaged... I ordered 2 - 12" X 6" double bead lock rims for the fronts, & 2 - 12" X 8" double bead locks for the rears... they priced out less than OMF, Douglas, or the "C" lockers I checked... WAM
