Apparently, He was listening, because they did all those things with this machine.
Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine they would get that very engine. I started it up for the first time at the dealer last night and I think I slept all night with the grin. I'm dying to get it on the trail.
My brother has had a number of Kawasaki motorcycles, including the Vulcan he currently has. They are great machines, but it is the engines that are particularly sweet. I goosed the throttle in the back yard last night, and WOW! I'm now going to have to repair my lawn.
The engine is not the only Kawasaki piece. The digital dash and 4wd shift on the fly system are also right off of the Prairie. I believe the front diff lock and maybe the diff itself may have come from Kawasaki, too, but I'm not sure.
I think the AC will be the perfect machine for the kind of riding I like--technical off roading over very difficult terrain, but it now has the ability to fly down the fire roads, too.
I have always had all the respect in the world for Kawasaki and the Prairie, but I think now AC owners are going to get to share in that mean little secret Prarie owners have enjoyed for a couple of years.
