Tire pressure question?
#1
Hey guy's was wondering what tire pressure you all run.
I ride in some pretty rocky area's and run 4.5-5.0 lbs front and rear but when i'm braking into a corner the front tire's act like they grip too much and kinda make the quad nose dive but i'm worried if I go up too much in pressure that I will have puncture problem's with the stock tire's on the V.This is the first quad I have ever owned (have rode many a dirt bike in the past) but am not sure how much air is too much?
Any help thanks Doc.

Hey Doc,
I run 6 lbs. up front and 5.5 in the rear. I belive the Holeshot tires are six ply which should help with avoiding flats. the very first day I ran my Realters I got a flat(4 ply) it's fixed now but that wasn't cool. I also belive it's o.k. to cheat the pressure up to 7-8 psi if you're jumping alot on hardpack. I was only running 4 lbs. last weekend when I "tacoed" my rear rims, had reduced pressure to try to get a better bite on this track we were playing on when I did that.

Thank's Mudfoot.
I'm only worried about getting a flat that can't be fixed with a repair kit mile's from any where. I'm just worried about the weight of the quad combined with the weight of my fat **** (6'6" 330lbs) and high tire pressure and rock's.
