P700 brake life
#1
I'm looking to find out how many miles the stock brakes will last on my P700. I ride 80% in the mud in South Fla (really gooey stuff). Do they come stock with the Severe duty brakes or what?
Thanks

Unfortunately, Stackk's right. The fronts will not last long no matter what pads you put in. The mud collects in the rotor holes & just sands away the pads. I usually don't get more than a few trips out of new pads. If it wasn't for the sealed rears & kebc us mud boggers would be hurtin.
The best potential solution that I've though of yet is to just buy a sheet of brake material & do the replacements myself. The fit wouldn't be perfect but it would be cheap.
What I was hoping for was to find a set of solid rotors. That way the mud wouldn't have anywhere to hang out & its damage. No luck yet.

We have sandy gritty mud in many of the areas we ride. My P650 brakes lasted just over 1,000 miles. Some others in our group had them go out even sooner.
EBC and EPI severe duty pads are cheaper and should work as well or better than stock.
