Default 10,000 RPM Vforce?

Anyone want to get more R's on their Vforce? A little head work and camshafts, you could be cranking more ponies at 10k.

Link from Yoshimura

IS this for real, or is it only for a KFX400 and they misprinted? It is the same cost for the one cylinder as the two cylinder.

Number of cylinders shouldn't matter since you only need one cdi for either bike.

Well, no, they have to send a signal to two coils (at different times) on the v-twin in order to keep it running after the CDI cuts out. Has to be different from a 1 cyl module.

This isn't a CDI, it doesn't change timing. Somehow it keeps signalling the coils even when the CDI stops (electronic stuff I'm sure).

Maybe it isn't a misprint and it is the real thing. I was hoping that someone would tell us that this really truly exists for the V and it isn't a misprint.

A magazine misprinted a CDI offering for the V-force, and when I emailed the manufacturer (vortech) they said "nope, we don't offer it". I realize a rag is a lot less reliable than the manufacturer's website. But, still, things get misprinted all the time.

In the mean time I am working on a digital ignition off a European bike that will have no limiter and product a more pure spark.

What a bummer. I won't believe anything until some folks on here have them in their hands.

On the V the CVT will determine your RPM's as its shifting when the springs/weights force it to. To get it up to 10,000 it would take a very radical clutch setup.

I wonder if these will work on the Prairie 650/700?
