Cant you just weigh the machine only, or does the scale not work for that light of a load?

The scale is most likely fine as they are usually calibrated regulary by the State. I would guess it was the way that the weight was distributed in your truck. It's the same principle if you stand on your bathroom scale and weigh yourself then you grab a 25 pound weight from a workout weight set it will most likely weigh less than 25 pounds. If you set the 25 pound weight directly on a postal type scale by itself it will most likely weigh 25 pounds give or take a few ounces. Did you try placing the quad on the scale by itself??? I don't know if those scales will weigh that small amount of weight. Just my $.02 worth.

I had an opportunity to weigh my V at a truck scale as well. Keep in mind that I have removed skid plates, heel guards, and replaced a lot of the steel parts with aluminum ones. I also have ITP wheels with Skat-Trak paddle tires. My V with probably a 1/4 tank of gas and all fluids weighed in at 506 lbs.

I think he forgot to tell us that he had to take a 200 lb tool box out of the back of the F150 in order to get the V-Force into the truck, LOL. Then again, ... they now have Atkins approved low carb dog food for fat dogs, so maybe he has been feeding that fat dog of a V-Force some of that . Just kidding, the V-Force may be fat, but it isn't a dog, LOL.
