Default How do Pipes Work exactly

OK
I know what pipes do, they make alot more power than stock, and beef up you 4wheeler.
what I know is you can't just get a pipe, put it on and it works fine...when getting an aftermarket pipe, what is the minimum that needs to be done to get full power from the exhaust?
Is a jet kit required or can you just adjust the carbuerator??
Im lookin at the supertrapp for my kota so any lakota guys out there you info will help
but if someone can tell me exactly what needs to be done in order for a pipe to do anything, please explain
thanks

The pipe just gets more exhaust out, letting your engine breathe better. Along with the pipe it's good to get a K&N air filter. More air in, more exhaust out = more power. But along with all of this you WILL need to install a larger jet. You can probably ask a mechanic what size jet you will need for your setup.

I would reccommed getting a jet kit for your machine and getting a K&N filter or a twin air filter and this will make the most of your exhaust.
