Default 250 mjave sprocket

hey guys im buying a 250 majave from a guy and i hear they only go like 56mph, and id like to get about 65 out of it. if i would go up a couple of teeth on the front sproket would i have any power problems because of the higher gear ratio. thanks for any replies

Sorry but you wont be able to gear up to get 65 mph on a stock mOjave. Well im sure anything is possible but if you did that you wouldnt have a bottem end at all and it wouldnt be ridable. If you get a 330 kit from FST with cams and rev limitor removed etc etc you might be able to pull 65 with it.

thanks, i wasnt to sure if i would have enough power for it or not, i did have my old stock trx125 doing fifty and still had power, ovecorce i had a really really low first gear that was never used, i always pulled out i second. but after i put the bigger tires on it the first gear was like second before the big tires were put on. i was also told that it would not have enough power to turn those big 6 ply dirt devils and it did so, who knows
