01 Mojave.

When idling I just touch the gas and it has a knock. It goes away at higher rpm and cant be heard at idle. Just above idle.

It's not loose valve adjustment, that is a "tick" in the top. This sounds like it's coming from the cyl or bottom end.....I cant really tell. I thought it was pinging on the miserable Cali gas. I bought some 100 octain race gas and it's still there.

I removed the oil filter and found no metal in it. Drained the oil through a coffee filter and no metal either.

Piston slap? Wristpin? Any ideas?
