I agree partially, at least, with SLEDGEHAMMER... I just put about $2,700.00 into my old 650... now it's a ported & polished 750cc kick'in A machine... I would not have your dealer rebuild it, unless they are compitent, & you do some aftermarket upgrades, rather than just a Kawi rebuild... I wouldn't think twice about having PBR rebuild your my motor, if I lived that close...WAM

sledgehammer650 mentioned a Mike Penland and said he might have some 650 engines. I have a blown 2002 Kawasaki KVF 650 engine thanks to an unauthorized rider. If sledgehammer650 or anyone else has information about rebuilt KVF 650 engines, please let me know. This engine is really messed up. The Kawasaki dealer said it was the worst he had ever seen. He said it would have had to have seazed at close to top speed to do that kind of damage. So I am assuming an aftermarket engine or spare engine would be the best option.

Fram tough/kvf650 Mike has my bike again the front oil seal on the drive shaft was leaking so it spun the crank bearings. I asked mike while i was up there how much for a used motor and he said it would be chearer to rebuild mine. He gets $2500.00 for the used one. He also said for around 1500 in parts i could make it a 700cc by putting in 700 crank, rods, timming shaft, pistons, andlet him bore it. I think that iam just going to let him put in used parts and if i have enough money left get some cams.
