P650/700 motor problems.
With all the problems I've read regarding these engines, such as the poor belt drive design, bad bearings etc. It's a scary thought that both Arctic Cat and Suzuki are now using these engines on their products. Whats this gonna do to the Kawasaki name? I used to think that the P650 engine was the best in class by far, but after experiencing those problems myself , I really have my doubts.

What are you drunk ? I run the local ATV club and run with them all .It is one of the most realible motors out thire. If you can do some minor maintance less than on most 4x4s .We have 5 Kaws in the club now and I would bet they have the best uptime out of all the big quads and smoke the heck out of them to boot. We all sold other quads to get them I sold a 02 Grizz and would never go back.

i see people write in about there concerns with this "belt problem". well its not a problem ,and as for my engine it has never had a problem. dont ever let this be a factor when considering a bike of any brand . like yamaha 660 grizzly and there axle breaking and there vapor locking ,rincon and its underpowered motor just ride the quad and if you like it buy it they are all good machines.BRENT

Longgun read the other fourms about the other brands if you want to be scarred. Just ride them all before you buy. We have 20 plus quads in our club and the Hondas and Kaws are the most realible ones out thire. Out of 3000 plus hours on the Kaws a belt has never left us stranded not once we have 1 02 3 03s and one 700 in the club now. The onley ones with belt problems are to lame to check it once in awile . The Honda is a good quad nice ride slow safe handels OK and we always wait for them to catch up in the end. Just talk to others who are around and ride with all the quads .
