Default out run on my V

What`s up fellows. I love my V,but every time I drag race over sixty yards with any of the larger 4-wheelers I get smoked.I have no problem getting out of the hole but they always end up passing me.My V is stock right now but I plan on doing some mods. what can I do to solve this problem without sacrificing to much of the awesome trail riding capibilites.

Change the primary spring. It will make the biggest difference and is only like 20 bucks or plus shipping.

Hey ballping, you need to talk to Dale at Dalton Industries. They have clutch setups for the V from stk to 785cc ported. Dale's trail V on pump gas runs 5.6 sec and better in 300ft at 56 mph. A stk V runs 6.2- 6.3 sec in 300ft. Dalton industries also have an overdrive clutch cover that will give you 3-4 mph on a dual piped or mod v.
Check them out a daltonindustries.com
I drove Dale's v at the races last weekend, I can send you a digital video clip if you would like.

the next step up....I would either say the plain spring or the bright green...I am not 100% sure what brands they are but if you do a search I am sure you will find them....

The next step up would probably be the HPD Plain spring. I'm extremely happy with mine Here is the web address. http://www.hpd-inc.com/clutchsprings.html
